PNC-27

An experimental anticancer peptide. In the lab it pokes holes in cancer-cell membranes (which display a protein called HDM-2) while sparing normal cells. Striking in a dish, but it has never been tested in humans, and the FDA has warned that PNC-27 products are unapproved with no established safety. This is a research compound, not a therapy.

Overview

An experimental anticancer peptide.

In the lab it pokes holes in cancer-cell membranes (which display a protein called HDM-2) while sparing normal cells.

Striking in a dish, but it has never been tested in humans, and the FDA has warned that PNC-27 products are unapproved with no established safety.

This is a research compound, not a therapy.

What It Does

PNC-27 is a synthetic 32-amino-acid peptide combining a p53 (residues 12–26) HDM-2-binding domain with a membrane-penetrating domain.

It binds membrane-expressed HDM-2 on cancer cells, forming transmembrane pores that cause rapid tumor-cell necrosis and mitochondrial disruption; selectively, because normal cells don’t express membrane HDM-2.

All evidence is preclinical (cell/animal).

Reconstitution Calculator

Enter the vial amount and diluent volume to calculate concentration. If you already have a target amount, you can also convert it to liquid volume and syringe markings. This tool does not recommend a target amount.

Calculated concentration—Enter both values above.
Optional conversion

Enter a target amount you already have and select the syringe capacity.

Calculated draw—Enter concentration inputs and a target amount.

Mathematical reference only. The calculator does not determine an appropriate target amount. Syringe capacity only changes the maximum volume that fits.

Protocol

Handling & Stacking

Injection site
Per research only. No validated human route.
Storage
  • Freeze-dried: -20°F or colder ideal.
  • Reconstituted: refrigerate, best used within ~2 weeks (community estimate), kept cold and dark; fragile, potency fades before the 28-day sterility limit.
Side effects
Unknown in humans. Membrane-disrupting mechanism carries unquantified risk to any HDM-2-expressing or stressed cells.
What to expect
  • Unknown in humans.
  • Selective cancer-cell killing in the lab has not been validated as safe or effective in people.
  • Supply math Not applicable, no validated human dosing.
  • Research compound only.
Pairs well with
N/A, not a stacking compound; cancer care belongs with an oncologist
Avoid
Use as a cancer treatment in place of evidence-based care. Pregnancy. Any self-administration for a serious diagnosis

Safety & Patient Education

Contraindications
Use as a substitute for evidence-based cancer treatment Pregnancy and lactation Any self-administration for a serious diagnosis
Warnings
No human trials; FDA-flagged as unapproved with no established safety Membrane-lytic mechanism, unquantified off-target risk in humans Cancer requires proper oncologic care, this is not a therapy Quality and identity of research material vary widely
Drug interactions
Unknown in humans Could interfere with real cancer therapy if misused, do not substitute
Labs
Not applicable for self-use; oncology is managed by specialists
Stop criteria
This should not be self-administered for cancer Seek proper oncologic evaluation for any cancer concern
Patient education
An intriguing preclinical anticancer mechanism, with zero human safety data The FDA has warned against unapproved PNC-27 products Cancer requires evidence-based treatment, do not rely on a research peptide Included for completeness, not endorsement
