Overview

Russian peptide that activates telomerase, the enzyme that keeps the ends of your chromosomes from fraying.

The most-studied of the longevity peptides.

What It Does

Telomerase activation reported in rodent studies.

Stimulates telomerase (hTERT) expression.

Normalises pineal.

Developed by Vladimir Khavinson.

Interactive tool

Reconstitution Calculator

Enter the vial amount and diluent volume to calculate concentration. If you already have a target amount, you can also convert it to liquid volume and syringe markings. This tool does not recommend a target amount.

Calculated concentration—Enter both values above.
Optional conversion

Enter a target amount you already have and select the syringe capacity.

Calculated draw—Enter concentration inputs and a target amount.

Mathematical reference only. The calculator does not determine an appropriate target amount. Syringe capacity only changes the maximum volume that fits.

Protocol

PhaseFrequencyAmountNotes
Days 1–10Daily or twice daily5–10 mg10 mg/day × 10 days standard.
Days 1–20Daily5 mgExtended course.
RepeatSeasonal2–3×/year4–6 months apart.
Cycle & Timing

10–20 day courses, 2–3× per year.

Timing

10-day course, daily SubQ pre-bed; repeat 2×/year.

Evidence Context

telomerase effect shown in human cell lines + animals; clinical data is Russian/CIS, no Western RCT.

Population Considerations

Unisex bioregulator (pineal / telomerase), short courses, same dose in both sexes. Avoid in pregnancy.

Handling & Stacking

Injection site
SubQ abdomen or outer thigh.
Storage
  • Freeze-dried: -4°F.
  • Reconstituted: 36–46°F.
  • Best used within 28 days, otherwise potency gradually fades over ~4–6 weeks (structure-based estimate, no published data).
  • Protect from light.
Side effects
Generally very well tolerated. Rare: injection-site irritation.
What to expect
  • Improved sleep and circadian normalisation first (1–2 weeks).
  • Gradual energy and immune improvement over 2–3 annual courses.
  • Benefits compound over years.
  • Supply math 10mg → 10 vials | 50mg → 2 vials (10-day course @ 10 mg/day = 100 mg)
Pairs well with
Thymosin Alpha-1 (immune amplification); DSIP (sleep architecture, complementary circadian effect)
Avoid
Active malignancy. Pregnancy / nursing

Safety & Patient Education

Contraindications
Pregnancy and lactation (no safety data) Active malignancy (theoretical concerns; no human RCT data on cancer risk) Children and adolescents (no pediatric data outside Russian clinical use)
Warnings
Most clinical evidence is Russian/CIS, much doesn’t meet ICH-GCP standards No FDA approval; not regulated as drugs in the US Limited human safety data outside the Khavinson research group Long-term safety beyond 5 years of cyclic use not established Most-studied of the Khavinson peptides but still no Western RCTs PCAC RECOMMENDED it (as “epitalon”) for the 503A bulks list, 7–5 (Jul 2026; advisory, non-binding)
Labs
Compound-specific: Salivary melatonin at 9 PM (baseline + after 20-day course) No specific markers. Baseline CBC + CMP; target-tissue labs (salivary melatonin for Epithalon)
Patient education
Bioregulators, research use only in most jurisdictions Russian use approved; US/EU off-label or unapproved Quality varies, request COA for each lot 10-day courses, 2–3×/year; continuous dosing isn’t supported
