What It Does
PE-22-28 is an optimized analog of spadin that blocks the TREK-1 potassium channel, producing rapid antidepressant-like effects and increased hippocampal neurogenesis/synaptogenesis within ~4 days in rodents.
Longer-acting than spadin (~23 h vs ~7 h).
No completed human trials, no validated human dose or safety data.
