What It Does
Approved pharmaceutical in Russia and Ukraine – and stroke recovery. analog stimulating BDNF/NGF synthesis, upregulating serotonin/dopamine receptors, and activating PDGF for neuroprotection.

Russian-approved (stroke/cognition); no Western RCT.
Unisex nootropic / neuroprotective (intranasal), dose by protocol, no sex effect. Avoid in pregnancy.
Handling & Stacking
- Intranasal: 1–2 sprays per nostril, alternating sides each dose.
- Use a calibrated nasal pump (100 µL/spray, 100 mcg per spray at this recon) and tilt head slightly back during instillation.

- Freeze-dried: -4°F.
- Reconstituted in saline: 36–46°F.
- Best used within 21 days.
- Discard if cloudy or particulate.
- Community runs Semax nasal spray about ~1–2 weeks in plain saline (or ~3–4 weeks if made with bacteriostatic water) refrigerated at 36–46°F and dark, and it's worth leaning to the shorter end since Semax's N-terminal methionine oxidizes; it's community convention, not published data.
- Mental clarity and focus often within hours of first dose.
- Sustained cognitive enhancement builds over 2–4 weeks.
- Brief headache in days 1–3 is normal.
- Supply math 5mg → 4 vials | 10mg → 2 vials (4-wk @ 600 mcg × 7/wk)
- There is no FDA-approved cognitive enhancer, no drug is approved for boosting focus or memory in healthy people (stimulants are approved only for ADHD/narcolepsy).
- Semax’s Russian approval does not apply in the US.
