TRIPTORELIN

A GnRH agonist used as a “one-shot” restart for the body’s testosterone axis after a steroid cycle (PCT). A single dose kick-starts the pituitary to resume LH/FSH output. Powerful and long-lasting, easy to get wrong, so it’s a careful-use compound.

Overview

A GnRH agonist used as a “one-shot” restart for the body’s testosterone axis after a steroid cycle (PCT).

A single dose kick-starts the pituitary to resume LH/FSH output.

Powerful and long-lasting, easy to get wrong, so it’s a careful-use compound.

What It Does

Triptorelin is a synthetic GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) agonist.

A single dose causes an initial surge (“flare”) of LH/FSH and testosterone, used in PCT to restart the HPTA. (Paradoxically, repeated/continuous

dosing downregulates GnRH receptors and suppresses the axis; which is how it’s used clinically for prostate cancer/endometriosis.) Dose and timing

matter enormously.

Reconstitution Calculator

Enter the vial amount and diluent volume to calculate concentration. If you already have a target amount, you can also convert it to liquid volume and syringe markings. This tool does not recommend a target amount.

Calculated concentration—Enter both values above.
Optional conversion

Enter a target amount you already have and select the syringe capacity.

Calculated draw—Enter concentration inputs and a target amount.

Mathematical reference only. The calculator does not determine an appropriate target amount. Syringe capacity only changes the maximum volume that fits.

PROTOCOL (PCT)

UseFrequencyDoseUnits (1Notes
PCTSingle10010uOne SubQ injection in the early phase of PCT, after clearance of long-ester steroids. Do NOT repeat, repeated dosing
restartdosemcgsuppresses the axis. Critical: the value is in a single low dose to trigger the LH/FSH flare. Repeated or higher dosing flips it into suppression (its clinical use). Timing relative to ester clearance and the rest of a PCT (often with SERMs) matters, this is not a casual peptide. Women: Cycle-timed, ovulation trigger, IVF prep, endometriosis. A single dose flares then suppresses. Men: Used post-cycle to restart the testosterone axis (a single low dose flares LH).

Handling & Stacking

Injection site
SubQ, abdomen.
Storage
Freeze-dried: -4°F. Reconstituted: 36–46°F, best used within ~4–6 weeks (inferred from marketed GnRH-agonist solutions).
Side effects
Initial flare symptoms (mood, libido swings), headache, injection-site reaction. Wrong dosing can worsen suppression.
What to expect
  • A jump in LH/FSH and testosterone over the days following the single shot, supporting natural-production recovery as part of a complete PCT.
  • Supply math 2mg → 1 vial (covers ~20 single 100 mcg doses) (single-dose-per-PCT use)
Pairs well with
SERM-based PCT (clomiphene/tamoxifen) under guidance; HCG (earlier in recovery). Not a standalone, part of a structured PCT
Avoid
Repeated/continuous dosing (causes suppression). Use without understanding PCT timing. Women of reproductive age / pregnancy. Hormone-sensitive concerns without guidance

Safety & Patient Education

Contraindications
Pregnancy and lactation Hypersensitivity to GnRH or its analogs Undiagnosed abnormal vaginal/genitourinary bleeding
Warnings
Single-dose-only for the flare effect, repeated dosing suppresses the axis (the opposite of the intended PCT effect) Initial testosterone/estrogen flare can transiently worsen hormone-sensitive conditions Mood and libido fluctuation during the flare Improper PCT timing can prolong low-testosterone recovery
Drug interactions
Other hormonal agents (SERMs, HCG, AIs): part of structured PCT; sequence and timing matter Drugs that prolong QT: caution (class effect)
Labs
  • LH, FSH, total/free testosterone, estradiol (baseline + during recovery) Confirm steroid esters have cleared before use Out of range?
  • Low testosterone / low LH-FSH during recovery = the axis hasn't restarted yet, give it time or adjust.
Stop criteria
This is a single-dose tool, do not re-dose chasing an effect Severe mood disturbance during the flare Any signs of a hormone-sensitive condition worsening
Patient education
One shot, not a course; re-dosing backfires into suppression Only meaningful as part of a properly timed PCT Get labs to confirm recovery rather than guessing Not for use by women of reproductive age or in pregnancy
